Texture and relief in the cloth
Stone-look tile is a way to bring texture to a wall without resorting to a natural cladding that requires sealing, maintenance, and a more expensive installation. It adds relief, shadow, and tonal variation, and across a large surface it creates a finish that changes throughout the day depending on how the light hits it, something no smooth piece can offer.
Its two natural settings are the bathroom with natural light and the transition to the outdoors. In a shower, stone creates a spa-like feel that no solid color can achieve, especially when paired with wood and aged-finish fixtures; on a terrace wall, in a ventilated facade, or around a pool, it blends with the vegetation and with flooring in the same design, extending the same look from the floor to the wall.
With textured surfaces, cleaning should be taken into account: the more pronounced the texture, the more surface there is for limescale, soap, and dust to build up, so in high-traffic areas or where the water is very hard, we recommend medium textures instead of deep reliefs. Our collections offer different levels of relief within the same family and the same tone, making it possible to fine-tune that balance wall by wall according to the actual use of each area.
