Inspiring Spaces: Cesantoni and the Avant-Garde of Architecture at Design House 2026

Mexico City once again became a global hub for design and creativity with the arrival of Design Week México 2026. As every year, one of the event’s most anticipated and iconic highlights was Design House, a meeting point where some of the brightest minds in contemporary Mexican architecture come together to transform residential and commercial spaces into extraordinary works of habitable art.

This year, Cesantoni’s participation marks a milestone in bringing innovative ideas to life. Through strategic partnerships with distinguished architecture firms, we demonstrate how the versatility, elegance, and technology of our ceramic and porcelain tile collections provide the perfect canvas for creating spaces rich in identity, texture, and sophistication.

From Casa Guindi to Contemporary Design: The Legacy and Vision of Design House 2026

Beyond a conventional interior design exhibition, Design House has established itself over 17 editions as one of the most influential and highly anticipated platforms within Design Week México. Its primary objective is to move beyond the traditional exhibition format and become a living laboratory of ideas: a space where multiple architecture and interior design firms simultaneously reimagine different areas of the same residence, exploring contemporary ways of living.

For the 2026 edition, the chosen venue adds a unique historical and conceptual dimension: an iconic residence located on Avenida Paseo de las Palmas in Lomas de Chapultepec, originally designed in the 1970s by architect Fernando Jackson. This architectural gem, known as Casa Guindi, preserves the distinctive lines, proportions, and defining elements of Mexican modernism. Its spacious rooms, fluid social areas, and seamless connection to the surrounding greenery are among its most distinctive features.

The value of transforming a space with such a rich history lies in the dynamic dialogue between past and present. The invited creatives do not seek to erase the building’s history; instead, they establish a respectful conversation in which Jackson’s original architecture merges with the needs and sensibilities of contemporary design.

It is precisely at this intersection that Cesantoni’s participation takes on particular significance. Our high-end surface and tile solutions bring advanced technology and refined aesthetics to spaces while integrating harmoniously with the existing structure. This collaboration demonstrates how material innovation and timeless elegance can work together to breathe new life into contemporary Mexican architecture.

Architecture and Collaboration

At the heart of Cesantoni’s involvement in Design House 2026 is an ongoing dialogue between distinctive design visions and the technical quality of our materials. Each participating firm brought its own perspective on contemporary living, achieving a seamless balance between aesthetics and functionality.

Innovation and Texture: This year’s collaborations explored the use of large-format tiles and timeless color palettes, softening the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces while creating a sense of flow and spaciousness.
Materials Built to Last: In contrast to fleeting trends, the architects chose surfaces designed to age gracefully. Cesantoni’s ceramic technology delivers durability, precision in finishes, and exceptional aesthetic realism.
We invite you to take a closer look at each of these spaces through the exclusive highlights we shared on our social media channels in collaboration with the participating firms:
